Four women were honored at the annual Women in Leadership and Management Awards (WiLMA) luncheon held Friday as part of the Mountain Region Black Economic Summit.
The award — named in honor of Wilma J. Webb, former legislator and Denver’s first African-American first lady — recognizes women who have made a significant impact in business, education, the community and politics.
This year’s recipients were: Glynis Avila Albright, CEO and founder of Just Sweet Enough; Brenda J. Allen, chief diversity officer at the University of Colorado Denver and the Anschutz Campus; Priscilla Brown, executive director of the Black United Fund of Colorado; and Rep. Rhonda Fields (D-Aurora).
