GRAND FORKS, N.D.—Fargo Force goaltender Cam Johnson has committed to play for the University of North Dakota, starting with the 2014 season.
The goalie who led the United States Hockey League team to the Clark Cup finals chose UND over Denver and Nebraska-Omaha.
The 18-year-old Johnson is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound goalie from Troy, Mich. He had a .909 save percentage and a 3.10 goals-against average this past season for the Force. He will play one more year with the junior hockey team before moving on to UND.
