Brighton police are looking for a driver in a vehicular assault early Sunday morning in which two people were run over.
Police identified the suspect in the case as Isaiah Phillip Twito, 21, of Thornton, according to a Brighton Police Department media release.
The incident happened about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of Purcell Place.
Witnesses told police two men were asked to leave a party because one, who had not been invited, had become belligerent, police said.
A short time later a rock was thrown through a window of the home were the party was held, followed immediately by sounds of a vehicle being driven recklessly in the neighborhood.
Multiple witnesses told investigators a blue sedan hit a grey-colored Honda and the driver of the blue sedan continued driving recklessly around a cul-de-sac, damaging yards and property. Eventually the car hit two men, ages 20 and 40, who were taken to a local hospital with injuries.
Police are looking for Twito and the vehicle he was driving, which was allegedly stolen at the time the incident unfolded.
The vehicle is described as a blue 2000 Honda sedan, possibly with Colorado license plate 251-TOL.
Twito is described as a Hispanic man, 5 -feet 8-inches tall, about 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
