A woman was assaulted and injured in an armed, home invasion robbery in northeast Denver on Thursday morning.
The incident happened about 8:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of High Street, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
Two men forced their way into a home, assaulted a woman, and fled.
The pair demanded drugs and took items from the home, Jackson said. The assailants fled in a brown van.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
