Two separate traffic accidents, one involving three cars, knotted traffic on I-25 north of Denver Wednesday morning.
The first accident, with three vehicles, happened about 7 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Berthoud, said Trooper Nate Reid, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
Shortly after the initial accident there was a two-vehicle collision in about the same area.
The left lane was shut down by the first mishap, and all southbound traffic came to a halt after the second collision.
The highway reopened about 8:40 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
There were no reports of serious injury.
