ASPEN, Colo.—New Aspen Mayor Steve Skadron says he is no longer taking public comment during some of the city’s weekly council work sessions.

According to the Aspen Daily News ( ), members of the public who expect the chance to be heard are being told they will not have that opportunity and will have to wait until regular council meetings.

Skadron says lengthy public comment is not always helpful, but he will make some exceptions. Council members say most of the public comments are repetitive and can be heard at the regular meeting.
