Sunday night at the Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pa., reunited with Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins sharing the stage with Lil Mama, who will play the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in the upcoming film about the group.
They dedicated the song “Waterfalls” to Left Eye, with Chilli : “This song was true and dear to her heart and I’m sure it means a lot to you guys. If you have a lighter or a cell phone, iPads, computers, whatever you got, light it up. This is dedicated to Lisa, to Left Eye.”
Japanese pop star Namie Amuro took on Left Eye’s verse in the recent 20th anniversary remix of the song.
“CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” will premiere on VH1 on Oct. 21. KeKe Palmer plays Chilli, and Drew Sidora stars as T-Boz. TLC are working on a new album, to be released this fall as well. The greatest-hits collection, out Oct. 15, — Lady Gaga, Ne-Yo, Lil Mama, Drake and J. Cole are rumored to be collaborators.
The material will be TLC’s newest since 2002’s “3D”.
