FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The man who helped create Colorado State University’s atmospheric sciences department and co-founded what became Grant Family Farms has died.
Larimer County coroner’s officials told the Coloradoan ( ) that Lewis O. Grant died at his home in Wellington on Thursday after suffering a fall in mid-July. He was 90.
While he was a professor at CSU, Grant and his son Andy founded what became Grant Family Farms, a pioneering certified organic farm. The farm was sold after falling into bankruptcy this year.
