will replace as the booking partner at the 24-year-old, 18,000-seat in Greenwood Village, venue owner announced Tuesday morning.
With Fiddler’s in its control (starting with the 2014 concert season), the local offices of Anschutz Entertainment Group now run the majority of non-city-owned professional music venues in the Denver/Boulder area, including the and the , and theaters — not to mention a very close relationship with the and theaters and Denver rock club the , as local AEG talent buyers co-own those venues.
“As owners of the Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, MOA is looking forward to making music and art with AEG Live,” Museum of Outdoor Arts president Cynthia Madden Leitner said of the 15-year agreement in a release.”Our shared vision includes integrating major arts installations into the renovations of the facility. The partnership between our organizations exemplifies our mutual dedication to bringing the best of the arts to Colorado.”
Live Nation officials who ran Fiddler’s from their Denver offices had no comment Tuesday morning.
Local AEG honcho Chuck Morris promised $5 million in renovations to the south suburban amphitheater, which has had its ups and downs over the years.
“This money enables us to improve every aspect of the venue, from concessions and décor to operations and beyond” Morris said in the release. “We are incredibly excited to put our love and energy into Fiddler’s Green and create the absolute top experience our community expects and deserves.”
