COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say a 2-year-old suffered a skull fracture and a lacerated spleen after being pushed out of a third-story apartment window in Colorado Springs.

Police say officers were called to an apartment near Deerfield Park in the southeastern part of the city at about 7 p.m. Saturday and learned that the child’s 5-year-old sibling had pushed the toddler out of the window. The 2-year-old is expected to fully recover.

The Denver Post reports ( ) the El Paso County Department of Human Services has been notified.
