GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A court date for a Grand Junction man seeking a retrial over his wife’s death is set for September.

Michael Blagg received a life sentence after he was convicted in 2004 of first-degree murder after deliberation in the death of Jennifer Blagg.

The Daily Sentinel reports that ( ) on Sept. 27, attorneys are expected to set a date on Blagg’s motion for a new trial.

The Colorado Court of Appeals last month sent Blagg’s case back to Mesa County after his attorneys argued juror Marilyn Charlesworth lied when she indicated in a juror questionnaire she wasn’t a victim of domestic violence.

She has said she didn’t consider herself a victim then.

At a City Council hearing last spring, she identified herself as a victim of domestic violence for 10 years.
