Portland’s doesn’t like government spying, and to share its distaste for all things intrusive, the electro-pop band has released “Party at the NSA.” And who knew protesting could be this fun!?
The bubbly dance track features guitar by comedian and activist Marc Maron and takes its name from the pop national anthem by Miley Cyrus.
YACHT also released a pointed statement with the song, “We should be outraged by the extent of the NSA’s YOUR domestic spying programs.”
You can through a pay-what-you-want system and all proceeds go to the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
According to the band:
The Electronic Frontier Foundation is a donation-supported nonprofit that fights back against the government to protect our digital rights; 100% of your donation to download “Party at the NSA” will go straight to fund their important work.
