AURORA, Colo.—Authorities say two assault rifles, a pistol and a bullet-resistant vest were stolen from two Adams County Sheriff’s Office vehicles parked in Aurora.
The Aurora Sentinel reports () someone stole the weapons and vest sometime between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday from two unmarked vehicles parked in a subdivision in the southeastern part of the city.
Aurora police spokesman Frank Fania says the two vehicles weren’t parked in a garage, but it’s not clear if they were in a driveway or in the street. The items stolen include a Colt M-4 Commando .223-caliber rifle, a Colt AR-15 .223-caliber rifle, a .40-caliber Glock pistol and a bullet-resistant vest.
