Police in Colorado Springs are crediting an “observant patrol officer” for finding a stolen vehicle with a sleeping toddler inside of it late Tuesday.
According to a post on the Colorado Springs Police Department blotter, the vehicle was reported stolen with the victim’s 2-year-old child inside shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of South Union Boulevard.
A short time later, police found the car and the missing child in the 200 block of Whitman Road.
Police are investigating and suspect information was not immediately available.
