If one of your reasons for touring the Parade of Homes this weekend is that your old neighborhood is feeling crowded, Lennar Homes has two Parade sites in Castle Rock you don’t want to miss. They’re both in good commuter locations, and they’re each drawing brisk sales from buyers who say that they need more elbow room: less congested access roads…better views, a more open community feel.
“These are the very best of what Castle Rock offers, and why it’s rated as one of the best places to live in the country,” says Mary Connelly, who’ll show you Lennar’s two models at master-planned Terrain – one a big-family sized home, the other a ranch. She’s already had a fives sales in the past month – typically, she adds, to families who tell her how congested their old community was. At Terrain they find creatively-designed neighborhoods wrapped around a Douglas County elementary school that’s walking distance from all homes – as well as from a new Southwest-styled community pool, a large park, and huge open space that wanders down a scenic canyon. Prices start from the $350s, and Lennar has homes ready for early move-in, for families that want a jump on the new school year. One of those is a Savannah 4-bedroom home with 3-½ baths, 3,057 square feet of finished space, plus a daylight walkout basement for future expansion. From its cul-de-sac site, Connelly will take you out on the large deck and show you a view across dedicated open space that wanders down into the arroyo beyond. It’s priced at $499,900. Meanwhile, you can tour a furnished model of that Savannah plan just south of Castle Rock’s historic downtown, at Crystal Valley Ranch – where the very smallest site is 10,000 square feet and where all homes have a picturesque view of Devil’s Head and other peaks west of Castle Rock. Lennar’s Jeff Everhart and Rod Dutcher already have 12 sales since May – and can also show you another Savannah, with 3-car tandem garage and backing to open space, near-ready at $483,975. As at Terrain, you’ll see great trails, including a single-track bike loop. What you WON’T see at either, adds Connelly, is a crush of traffic pushing in or out of the access roads. To reach Terrain, head south on I-25 to Founders/Meadows Parkway and head east three miles to Rising Sun. For Crystal Valley, continue south on I-25 to Plum Creek Parkway; turn east to the first right on Wilcox (frontage road), then south two miles to Crystal Valley Parkway, and east a mile.
