1 Drunken liquor store run. A witness called police after watching a drunken man drive away from a liquor store Aug. 16. Police tracked the man to his home on the 9500 block of West Cornell Place. The man said he was no longer driving, but agreed to go to the police station, where he failed a breathalyzer. He was arrested.

2 Night shift. Patrolling officers noticed a suspicious woman wandering in the shadows near West 14th Avenue and Ingalls Street on Aug. 15. After she quickly got in and out of a passing truck, police stopped her for prostitution. Police confiscated a glass pipe from her and she was arrested.

3 Neighborly restraint. A woman called police to her home on the 1000 block of Cody Street after she pinned her neighbor to the ground Aug. 15. The women were arguing, and the neighbor hit her. The woman held the neighbor down until police came and gave the neighbor a summons for harassment and assault.

4 Parking lot throwdown. Police were called Aug. 15 to the Walmart parking lot at 440 Wadsworth Blvd., where a man was attacked by two other men. The victim nearly crashed into the men’s car while driving in the wrong lane. Words were exchanged, and everyone got out of their cars to fight. Police located the aggressors on camera and gave them summonses.

5 Speeding scapegoat. Lakewood police pulled over a speeding driver Aug. 14 near South Pierce Street and West Kentucky Avenue. The driver did not have a valid license and the temporary registration tags were stolen. The driver told police his girlfriend stole the tags.
