Colorado prison officials have captured an inmate who escaped Wednesday morning.
Jerry Chase, 65, was missing during a 5 a.m. check at the Skyline Correctional Center of the East Cañon Prison Complex near Cañon City.
Chase was apprehended at 3:06 p.m. on the East Cañon Prison Complex, a 6,000 acre complex near Cañon City, according to officials.
Chase was captured without incident.
Chase entered the Department of Corrections on July 28, 2009, on three consecutive four-year convictions out of Grand County for harassment and stalking. He is eligible for parole on Oct. 2, 2013 and his mandatory release date is Oct. 2, 2019.
