A man who died in a house fire in Sedalia early last month has finally been identified.
The man was identified as 66-year-old Henry Schendera of Sedalia.
The body was removed from the rubble of the home after an early morning fire on Aug. 6.
Family member said it was Schendera but positive identification from the Douglas County Coroner didn’t happen until recently and those finding were made public Wednesday.
The cause of death remains under investigation, officials said.
