Not together, because that would be weird on two different levels, and Sheryl Crow both performed on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday.
Fresh off of their scorchingly hot Fillmore Auditorium performance in Denver (check out Reverb’s review ), Alt-J graced the “Late Night” stage with a stunning take on “Tessellate.” A poignant performance taken from the UK rockers’ first proper album, “An Awesome Wave.”
Jimmy Fallon has six months to fulfill as host of “Late Night,” and the once awkward host has been on an impressive run with his slew of gags and Timberlake doing his best Andy Richter impression (he’s practically living on the show nowadays).
Thursday night’s episode included a spry looking performing a farewell tune to disgraced politician “Anthony Weiner,” which is definitely worth the price of admission alone. You’ll notice the Roots on backup and New Order’s Peter Hook filling in on bass duties.
