CHSAA released Wednesday the list of tee times and pairings for the Class 5A boys golf state championship. The event will take place Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 at Murphy Creek Golf Course in Aurora.
This year’s field sees the return of several top 10 finishers from 2012, led by Douglas County senior Kyler Dunkle, , who is looking to defend his title. Regis Jesuit’s Spencer Painton, who finished just one stroke behind Dunkle, is in the field, as is teammate Chris Korte, who finished tied for sixth.
Others include Grand Junction’s Donny Kinnaman (fourth), Fort Collins’ Aj Ott (tied for sixth) and Ralston Valley’s Neil Tillman (tied for ninth).
The 5A state tournament was after massive flooding left much of the original location, the CommonGround Golf Course in Aurora, unplayable.
Regis Jesuit won the team title last year with a 20-over 446, eight strokes ahead of Ralston Valley.
