Training suspended. A woman called police Sept. 17 after 16 bicycle tires were stolen from her front yard in the 1900 block of North Cathay Street. The woman bought the used tires for her son to practice football stepping drills. There are no suspects.

Coin collectors robbed. Police were called to the 2000 block of Newark Street on Sept. 16 after a home was broken into. The burglars took electronics, jewelry, two cans of collectible coins and $80 worth of collectible U.S. bills. Police noted that a back window on the house was smashed.

Crotch sandwich. A clerk at the 7-Eleven at 16310 E. Quincy Ave. called police Sept. 14 after a drunken man attempted to steal a sandwich. The man came into the store and stuffed a ham sandwich down his pants. The clerk heard the wrapper crinkling and called the man out. He gave back the sandwich and left.

Lost man, stolen bag. A nurse at the University of Colorado Hospital, 12605 E 16th Ave., went to the Aurora Police Station to report that her bag was stolen from the Intensive Care Unit on Sept. 2. She said a man who was asking for directions stole it.

Donated phone. A teacher went to the Aurora Police Department on Aug. 30 to file a report about her stolen iPhone. She used the phone’s tracking app to find it in a cellphone recycling machine at the Aurora Mall, 14200 E. Alameda Ave.

Bike bully. Police were called to the 1600 block of North Peoria Street on Aug, 27 after a boy’s bicycle was stolen. The boy told police that he was riding around when an older boy pushed him off his bike and took off.
