LONGMONT, Colo.—Longmont nonprofits say they’re not worried that donations for flood relief will keep them from meeting their goals for fundraising drives that were already underway.

The Longmont Community Foundation has raised more than $300,000 for flood relief since Sept. 12, and donated goods have filled the Outreach United Resource Center, or OUR Center.

The Longmont Times-Call reported Friday ( ) that the OUR Center, the Longmont Museum and the Longmont Humane Society were all in the midst of multimillion-dollar campaigns when the floods struck.

Eric Hozempa, director of the Community Foundation, says the flood relief fund probably isn’t detracting from the other campaigns.

Wes Jessup, director of the Longmont Museum, says some people will donate to one cause or another and others will donate to all of them.
