said Tuesday it has ramped up its growth in the Denver area with new stores and a new 40,000-square-foot regional center.
The Portland, Ore.-based company said it has 17 new member stores so far in 2013, many opening in metro Denver.
“We are very excited to have another 17 independent dealers join the Tire Factory family,” said John Kreidel, CEO of Tire Factory, in a statement. “We aim to exceed our new member store goal for 2013 by adding at least 25 new stores in the West this year.”
The company added 28 stores in 2012.
“The Tire Factory family of independent tire dealers is continuing its rapid growth,” said Eric Gill, chairman of the Tire Factory board.
“That’s why we are expanding to handle even more growth in the Colorado geographic area,” said Gill in a statement.
The Oregon company is one of the country’s biggest member-owned organizations of independent tire dealers. The members operate more than 200 retail locations serving 15 western states with end-consumer sales in excess of $300 million.
Tire Factory serves its members from three regional distribution centers: one in Salt Lake City, another in Portland and the third in Denver.
