A car stolen in Brighton was abandoned on a railroad track, where it was hit by a train.

No one was injured in the incident.

The car, a 1999 Toyota Camry, was reported stolen about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday from the 100 block of North Main Street, according to a Brighton Police Department media release.

The car was hit by a train about 4:10 a.m. Wednesday near South Cabbage Avenue and Bush Street.

A railroad crossing in the area was closed until about 6 a.m. because of the incident, which remains under investigation.
