Over the top costumes, check. Purple designed piano, check. Pretending to hook up with R. Kelly on stage, check. Must be as host of “Saturday Night Live” and pushing her latest pop gem, “Artpop.”
Saturday had Miss Gaga flexing her acting chops in regular clothes and as a normal person in a hilarious skit titled, “Waking Up with Kimye.” The starlet appeared as a dowdy Apple employee attempting to fix a laptop dipped in caramel sauce. You know, because it’s an Apple.
Fans were treated to two takes off of “Artpop” with the soon to be radio friendly hit, “Gypsy.” It’s a soft piano ballad that punches it into fifth gear with acoustic, guitar-driven pop. It might just be the most “normal” song Lady Gaga has channeled as a pop megastar.
In typical Gaga fashion, “Do What U Want” showcased the Grammy winner in a scintillating pant suit and tangoing with in a soft charging bouncy dance number.
