Serge Vorobyov is the guy who tossed $1,000 in $1 bills into a crowd gathered at the Mall of America in Minnesota on Black Friday.
“My story is that, I just threw out my last thousand dollars,” Vorobyov says in a . “I didn’t have enough money for a lot of things and I’m going through a horrible divorce and she even took the cat.”
Vorobyov says he was cited for disorderly conduct.
The dollar bills were stamped with the , where he uploaded two cat videos and a variety of clips related to the money toss.
“I thought I’d just spread some holiday cheer,” Vorobyov says. “I think it went well and security let me go when they got confirmation nobody got hurt.”
