FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Firefighters say a sign-making business in Fort Collins was heavily damaged by a fire early Thursday morning.
Flames were coming from the roof of the Signs Now building when firefighters arrived.
They fought the blaze from outside because of concerns about the building’s stability. Crews fought it from ladders above the building and near the loading area on the ground.
No one was injured. Police call the fire suspicious and are investigating whether a burglary at a nearby business reported while firefighters were extinguishing the blaze was related.
Capt. Patrick Love told the Coloradoan ( ) that a sprinkler system might have saved the building.
