Celebrate the green
Only real trees need apply for the 2014 Treecyle Collection in Denver from Jan. 6-17. Make sure all decorations are removed. Days are scheduled in connection to your trash service type. Last year more than 18,000 trees were recycled. Keep an eye out for the annual Mulch Giveaway in the spring.
South Suburban Park and Recreation District and the city of Littleton continues its free tree recycling through Jan. 13. Drop off your tree between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays at the Willow Springs Service Center (7100 S. Holly St. in Centennial) or anytime at Cornerstone Park (5150 W. Windermere St. in Littleton). Mulch will be available beginning Dec. 30.
