PARKER, Colo.—The Denver suburb of Parker is warning residents to watch for mountain lions.
KMGH-TV reports ( ) the town sent an email Thursday advising residents of stepped up patrols because of recent sightings in town.
Mountain lion sightings in Colorado are rare and even more so in a town that sits 20 miles away from the Rocky Mountain foothills with Interstate 25 in between.
Among the advice from the town if confronted by a mountain lion: don’t run, face the lion and fight back if attacked.
