Hundreds of motorcycle riders gathered at Red & Jerry’s on Saturday afternoon to honor Claire Davis, the 17-year-old who died as a result of the shooting Dec. 13 at Arapahoe High School. The idea was created by BikerDown.Org on Facebook and quickly spread through the community.

Daryl Killner said he knows how easily such a tragedy could have happened to one of his children. It’s why he attended the memorial ride. This tragedy has not just hit close to home, it has torn a hole right through it.

“It’s impossible to say what it feels like. It’s just a hurt, a loss. And you try to fill that loss with recovery and love. That’s all you can do,” Killner said.
