A pedestrian was killed Thursday morning in southeast Denver in a hit-and-run traffic incident.
The female victim was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead, according to the Denver Police Department.
The incident happened about 9:05 a.m. at the intersection of South Colorado Boulevard and East Exposition Avenue, said Raquel Lopez, a police department spokeswoman.
Drivers in the area should expect traffic delays as the investigation is ongoing.
Police did not release a description of the vehicle.
