High time for pie time
Pie lovers should mark their calendar every week for Monday and Wednesday. On Mondays, everyone is a member of the Pie Society at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery. Buy an adult entrée and get a free slice of pie from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Then, on Wednesdays, head over to Village Inn for its weekly Pie Rush. Again, if you buy an adult entrée, you receive a free slice of double-crust fruit pie (or that week’s featured cream pie) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Each sweet offer is for dine-in only at participating locations. ;
And the winner is…
You don’t get a vote, but you can still catch all nine Oscar-nominated films during the AMC Theatres Best Picture Showcase. The movie marathon runs over two days: Feb. 22:”Philomena,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “12 Years A Slave.” March 1:”Nebraska,” “Captain Phillips,” “Her,” “American Hustle” and “Gravity.” The movie marathon starts at 10 a.m. each day at Arapahoe Crossing 16, Bowles Crossing 12, Highlands Ranch 24, Orchards 12, Southlands 16 and Westminster Promenade 24. The Feb. 22 ticket is $30 and the March 1 ticket is $40. Your best deal is a two-day pass for $60 ($6.67 per film). Buy tickets in advance online or at theatre box offices.
