High school sport: Swimming (100- and 200-yard freestyle, runner-up in Class 5A a year ago, placed third in both events as a freshman; won last weekend’s 200 and 500 frees in the Centennial League; won Saturday’s 200 freestyle at the Class 5A state meet in Thornton in 1 minute, 49.55 seconds).
Grade-point average: 4.1. Class: Junior.

My favorite athlete: U.S. swimmer Nathan Adrian.

Are high school sports necessary? I think that for Arapahoe, I’d say definitely. I think here you establish yourself as an Arapahoe Warrior. I don’t know any person not involved with something at this school. We take such great pride in our sports. It’s a way to build friendships and make memories forever.
