The Pew Research Center says this month marks the 25th anniversary of the World Wide Web, which traces its roots to a March 12, 1989, paper proposing an information-management system that would become “the conceptual and architectural structure for the Web.” To commemorate, Pew will release a series of Internet-related reports in the coming weeks. The organization released a report Thursday that found 87 percent of American adults use the Internet, with near-saturation usage among those living in households earning $75,000 or more, young adults ages 18-29 and those with college degrees.
