A reading of finalists and a reception for the awards will be held at 6 p.m. May 8, at the theater of the Oxford Hotel, 1600 17th St. The winners will be announced June 13 in Aspen.

The annual awards, presented by Colorado Humanities, honor authors, editors, illustrators and photographers. Categories include biography, creative nonfiction, general nonfiction, genre fiction, history, juvenile literature, literary fiction, memoir, mystery, pictorial, poetry, thriller/suspense and young adult literature.
