
Wasteful neighbor. A man called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on April 1 to report that someone dumped manure on his property in the 400 block of Thunder Road, Evergreen. He gave deputies the license number of the truck, which was found to be owned by the man’s neighbor, who has an easement on the road. The man decided to contact his neighbor about the matter.
Could have, wood have. A man called deputies on April 1 regarding a possible theft in Evergreen. He said he left an employee his bank account number along with instructions to deposit any money from the sale of wood while he was on vacation. Upon returning, he found wood missing but no deposits made. The employee promised to give him the money but did not. The employee was told that if he did not pay the money owed, he would be issued a summons.
Gas theft. On April 2, a caretaker in the 11200 block of South Foxton Road, Conifer, reported that fuel was taken from his truck’s gas tank twice in the past three weeks. He said he believed high school kids who live nearby were siphoning it from the tank. Extra patrol was added to the area.
Gas station menace. Deputies responded April 2 in reference to a menacing at Loaf-n-Jug, 26067 Conifer Road, Conifer. The reporting party said he was pumping gas and walked near another vehicle to throw trash away when a man came out of the convenience store, yelling to stay away from his vehicle. The reporting party took pictures of the man’s license plate, who then threatened to slash his tires. Deputies were unable to contact the man.
