Wale has long touted “Seinfeld” as one of his greatest inspirations. The DC native has incorporated the “about nothing” theme into his mixtapes and his last full-length album, “The Gifted.” Now, the rapper’s next LP, “An Album About Nothing,” is scheduled to be released this fall with help from Jerry Seinfeld himself,

Wale says he and Jerry Seinfeld have some “extra special things” in store for the fans with “Album About Nothing.” He says the goal is to be more in tuned with the originality Wale fans have come to love.

“I’ve spent some good time with Jerry and we’re gonna keep building on it,” Wale said. “I wanna make it super incredible and super honest and I’m really putting the fans first on this one,” he explains.

Last month Wale made the news after confronting a “fan” who heckled him on Twitter. The MC found the heckler at a WWE event and a small skirmish ensued. Wale says he is working on avoiding these kinds of incidents but sometimes, the trolls get the best of him.

“I feel like a part of that is what makes me human, because I embody what a regular person would do if he was in my position,” he said. “I look at it like this, if somebody worked at K-Mart or Best Buy and randomly someone attacked them online–they’d respond, but I’m not supposed to?”
