1Suspect swipes phone as victim texts. A man was texting on a bus May 3 when a suspect took the phone from his hand. Another suspect told the victim he could have his phone back if he paid them. The suspects then fled near East 51st Avenue and Scranton Street. The victim notified Denver Police of the incident.

2Victim robbed of $15 at gunpoint. On April 30, a man called Denver Police after he was robbed at gunpoint in the 7100 block of East 23rd Avenue. The victim said he was walking when the suspect approached, put a gun to his back and threatened to shoot him if he turned around. The suspect then pulled $15 out of his pocket and fled the scene.

3Student causes disturbance. Denver Police were called May 1 after a student caused a disturbance at Compassion Road Academy, 1000 Cherokee St. Police learned that after a student was refused a bus pass, she filled a shirt with rocks and began hitting a window, causing damage. She created issues throughout the school.

4Man caught sneaking into Elitch Gardens. A man was caught by Elitch’s security on May 4 after he was observed jumping the back fence and avoiding the $49.99 entry fee at the amusement park, 2000 Elitch Circle. Once he was in custody, security called Denver Police to report the incident.

5Cement blocks thrown onto DPS property. On May 5, Denver Police were called to a Denver Public Schools building, 2800 W. 7th Ave. after cement blocks were thrown onto the property from an abandoned structure nearby. An extension cord leading to the property was also cut.
