This week, released “The Way We Do It,” its first song in eight years. The way Jurassic 5 does it, apparently, is by hanging out at Red Rocks in the dead of winter.
The track, which samples the White Stripes’ “My Doorbell” from “Get Behind Me Satan,” was released with an acompanying video that takes place in Colorado.
Filmed when , it includes scenes of Jurassic 5 flying over the mountains, drinking at Belly Up Aspen, playing in the snow and rapping at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The video also shows the set-up for the Red Rocks show, with a few shots of the tunnels beneath the iconic venue.
“Watch my committee as we stop through your city destroying any and every club or academy,” J5 raps at one point in the song.
Well, since Red Rocks, Belly Up, and our major airports are still standing, it seems like the Jurassic 5 guys were pretty tame while in town. Thanks for the shout out!
