In order to remain an economic powerhouse, we must listen to more metal. Thatap right, , death metal may in fact be an indicator of a nation’s wealth and the general well being of its populace. The Scandinavian havens of Sweden, Norway and Finland have by far the highest amount of metal bands per capita and rank high when it comes to safety, economic prosperity and stability. Now, is this the result of the thrashing metal that graces the eardrums of our Scandinavian brethren? Let’s find out as we dive into the lighter side of the most brutal genre of music on planet earth.

Do you ever think, “I would like to better my country and economy,” when entering a mosh pit? Well, maybe you should, because , countries with high percentages of blaring metal heads are linked to high percentages of degree holding citizens and satisfied citizens. Having a higher number of metal bands in a country can also lead to entrepreneurship as well as greater output and creativity.

So to all of you furious, death-hungry metal fans out there, thanks for making the world a better place. Next time you find yourself being showered in blood at a G.W.A.R concert, just remember that you are responsible for moving the world forward. Go forth and metal.
