British singer-songwriter that his new single “Leave Your Lover” is about “a guy that I fell in love with last year, and he didn’t love me back.”

When a celebrity comes out, they often encounter ridiculous and sometimes painful backlash, but Smith isn’t concerned. “People say I’m the new Adele. Why is a talking point? I’m singing, I’m making music, I’m performing my music—thatap what should be the talking point.”
