Interview with co-owners Nancy Marquez and Jenn Tiell
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: Starting in a basement and providing mobile trunk shows, we talked to women, we listened, and when we opened our storefront in 2011, we knew the environment we wanted to create. In 2013, we created that same environment online. And, in 2014, we moved to a bigger and better location and added aesthetician Susan Robbins of Unique Touch Skin Care. Trendz is a neighborhood fashion boutique, where we help women find the best fit and style that works for them, from sizes 0 to 16.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: Our customers tell us that when they come to Trendz, it’s like hanging out with their girlfriends. We offer complimentary gourmet coffee, free Wi-Fi and a comfy couch. It’s not unusual to find customers enjoying a glass of wine in the afternoon while they shop. We host several events every month — fundraisers, fashion shows and pamper days, to name a few.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: We help empower women and give them the confidence to take risks.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Having recently moved to a new location in Ken-Caryl Ranch, we want to firmly entrench ourselves in the community. As small-business owners — and Littleton residents — we feel strongly that we should give back to the community that has been so good to us. We love hosting neighborhood groups — school organizations, fundraisers, moms groups, nonprofits, book clubs, bunco groups, etc. Let us know how we can help.

A: We’ve moved. Come visit us at our new location on the northwest corner of South Kipling Parkway and West Chatfield Avenue in Marketplace Ken Caryl.
