Getting your player ready...

In a year when Colorado has too few homes for the market, you need to plan ahead to buy anything; and if you’re looking in a place like Boulder County where everybody wants to be, that’s goes double. Today, Oakwood Homes is giving you a chance to see a close-up of what it has planned for Erie Highlands – just east of the Boulder County Line in Weld County, 18 minutes from Boulder office campuses.

Parents and students are writing rave reviews for Erie High School (see GreatSchools.net), walking distance from where Oakwood is preparing a master planned community that has great views of the Indian Peaks, along with a pool and park; and two collections of Oakwood’s largest, most luxurious homes – each with ‘smart spaces’ that create options for extra guest bedrooms or hobby areas for VERY little money.

What you CAN’T see at Erie Highlands yet are model homes – still months away; but Oakwood has a way around that. You’ll get an overview of the community, the pricing, and the sites today, along with free pizza, at Oakwood’s Erie Highlands sales center in a shopping plaza in downtown Erie, a mile west of the community site. Meanwhile, all eleven designs (including four ranches) are already modeled in other Oakwood neighborhoods.

How much could you save by buying at these pre-sale prices, over what comparably sized new homes are going for a few miles further west, closer to Boulder? “Anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000,” says Oakwood’s Chris Kennedy, who will show you those plans today – and actual views from the lots, including cul-de-sacs and walkout basement sites. He’ll also show you how ‘smart spaces’ work – a second level included at the standard price on ranch plans shown as third bedroom/bath suite plus library in some models; a gabled third level on a 2-story plan that can work as a guest suite or play area.

Some homes include ‘smart garage’ space, as well; and all of them have Oakwood’s energy features – so well monitored that Oakwood will guarantee your energy bill for the first two years of ownership. The costs-per-square-foot are incredible – only $97/foot on the Vail plan. To visit Erie Highlands’ sales center, take I-25 north from Denver past E470, two more exits to Exit 232, Erie/Dacono, and turn west 3.4 miles (past Oakwood’s construction site) to the shopping plaza at 71 Erie Parkway. Or from Boulder head east on Baseline to U.S. 287/107th Street, turn north 1.5 mile to Isabelle/Erie Parkway; and then continue east two miles, past County Line Road.
