Fire crews are battling a small wildfire in Douglas County near the Hayman burn scar, according to Sgt. Ron Hanavan of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The blaze is currently 100 feet by 100 feet burning off of Colorado 67 near Cheesman Lake in the Pike National Forest, Hanavan said.
The sheriff’s office has dispatched a helicopter to help local fire crews from the West Douglas Fire Protection District.
