A Denver police officer responding to a home invasion at 15th and Wabash streets suffered minor injuries from a fall and was taken to the hospital.
The homeowner was also injured in the incident.
When the officer got to the scene around 2 p.m., a dog came towards him and was poised to attack. The officer felt threatened and shot at the dog but missed. The dog then retreated uninjured.
The suspects of the invasion, a male and a female, have been taken into custody and the homeowner was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
