WASHINGTON — The top two Democrats up for re-election this year in Colorado — Sen. Mark Udall and Gov. John Hickenlooper — each have a small but solid lead over their Republican rivals released today by NBC News/Marist.

The survey found that Udall was outpacing opponent U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner, R-Yuma, by a margin of 48 to 41 percent. Hickenlooper was up 49 to 43 percent over GOP nominee Bob Beauprez. The margin of error was 3.2 percent. The poll of 914 registered voters was conducted between July 7 and 10.

The latest results differ from a , which showed the candidates in each race neck-and-neck.
