Hello, nostalgia. Sting made his WWE debut Monday as the legendary pro wrestler appeared in a trailer for the upcoming .
2K Games unveiled the face-painted superstar as its pre-order launch exclusive. Two versions of Sting will be available including the old-school “blond surfer” Sting from the ’80s and the “Crow” sting from the ’90s.
The trailer features a string orchestra playing his WCW entrance theme song from the late ’90s. Won’t lie — 13-year-old me got some shivers hearing that.
Since WCW was bought out by WWE in 2001, Sting was the one big-name wrestler who didn’t make the jump. For nearly a year, whether he would sign with the WWE.
While he hasn’t made his on-screen debut yet, fans should at least rejoice about not having to create a makeshift version of the Stinger for the game in the create-a-wrestler mode.
WWE 2K15 is slated for an Oct. 28 release date for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
