A of a confrontation between a Rockies fan and a Denver police officer at Coors Field has gone viral and led to an internal investigation at the Denver Police Department.
The video, which was taken by a friend of the man, was posted on Facebook Wednesday.
The video shows the man refusing to answer a question by Denver police Capt. Joe Black, who then shoves the man three times before dropping him to his knees and placing him in handcuffs.
In the video, the fan tells the officer he is 22 years old and had three beers. He also repeatedly yells that the officer is violating the rights of an “American citizen.”
The Denver Police Department declined to release details of the incident, including when it happened, what led to the confrontation and whether the man was charged with any crime. A spokesman said that the department is .
