1 Peanut oil vandalism. On July 21, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to Firelight Subdivision Community Park, 2647 Poston Parkway in Highlands Ranch, where a woman heard teenagers in the park the night before and the next day found a container of peanut oil with peanut oil spilled throughout the park.

2 Audio equipment theft. On July 19, a deputy responded to the 10100 block of Park Meadows Drive in Highlands Ranch where someone had broken into a man’s storage locker and stolen hundreds of dollars in audio equipment.

3 Slashed tire. On July 19, a deputy responded to a campsite at North Rampart Range Road and Old Jackson Jarre Road in Roxborough where someone had slashed the rear passenger tires on a couple’s vehicle.

4 School window broken. On July 18, a deputy was dispatched to Copper Mesa Elementary School, 3501 Poston Parkway in Highlands Ranch, where someone had broken a window, apparently with a BB gun. The window will cost $300 to repair.

5 Satellite TV scam. On July 17, a deputy responded to the 88oo block of Miners Drive in Highlands Ranch where a man was refinancing his house and found a Dish network account in his name though he never set one up. The suspect was out of Alabama.

6 Pellet mischief. On July 16, a deputy responded to the 16100 block of Parkside Drive in Parker where a man found a lead pellet lodged in his garage door. He found three other pellets on his driveway. He said he had no idea who might have done this and there are no kids living around him.
