Getting your player ready...

Chris Clark, former club pro at Columbine Country Club, has played every private country club course in the state – but says he’s never seen a better value than one he’ll show you today at Blackstone Country Club, just south of Aurora Reservoir on Smoky Hill Parkway.

“The course is a challenge for a professional, but fun for a beginner,” Clark says. “It’s scenic and it’s in great shape.” Clark, like everybody else, also likes the quality of Blackstone’s clubhouse – view-swept grill, nice looking locker facilities, a Starbucks – just two blocks from a 2,719-square-foot ranch he’ll show you, with nine-foot ceilings, full basement and 3-car tandem garage, on a 12,500-foot home site. It’s ready to move in now at $474,900.

“You’re getting a new home in a private golf course community for less than $500,000,” adds Lennar Regional Sales Manager Matt Cassidy. “That’s unheard of under $650,000.”

But Lennar will do you better than that: Buy that or any other home Lennar has on track for fall delivery on a secluded loop within Blackstone, and Lennar will pay your initiation fee for a golf membership: your course play is wrapped into a monthly HOA that includes community upkeep, plus the club’s gorgeous pool and social facilities.

Lennar has a variety of homes on track for move-in, including family-sized plans to five bedrooms, on larger-than-average lots. “Our lots are 2,500 feet larger than any builder’s in the area,” adds Clark. The location is two minutes from Cherry Creek’s coveted Fox Ridge/Cherokee Trail middle school/high school campus – and has Aurora Reservoir just beyond, with eight miles of surrounding trail.

If you have time to build, Clark and Lennar’s Lori Hamner will show you four lots overlooking the fairways from the Number-10 tee box; one of them with a view across five fairways, where you could create a showplace from one of Lennar’s plans. In any situation, you’d be getting Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” features as part of the package – granite, stainless appliances, fireplace, air conditioning, front yard landscaping, and a smart-home package that operates from your iPhone. On the ranch you can tour today, Lennar has added a double oven, side-by-side fridge, and a rich hardwood floor package that spans practically the entire main level.

They can also show you Blackstone’s clubhouse, where Clark took his family for dinner a few weeks ago. He’ll point out some features he particularly likes about Blackstone – including the club fitness facilities, and a driving range large enough to accommodate members without having to wait for a spot. From 470 take Smoky Hill east three miles, past Powhaton Rd., and turn south on Country Club Parkway to the temporary information center.
